CLAT 2026 will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of 120 multiple-choice questions. The exam duration will be 120 minutes (2 hours). Each correct answer fetches 1 mark, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer (negative marking). The paper is divided into five sections: English Language, Current Affairs including General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques. All questions will be passage-based.

Educational Qualification
For UG CLAT: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST categories). Candidates appearing for their qualifying examination in the academic year 2025-2026 are also eligible. For PG CLAT: Candidates must possess an LL.B. Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST categories).
