Template-based tests. Exam-styled delivery.
Create reusable test templates, generate unlimited quizzes (manually, algorithmically, or with AI), and deliver them through an exam-styled test player that replicates the exact experience of real competitive exams like JEE, NEET, and CAT.
How it works: Template → Generate → Deliver
Acadmi separates test structure from test content and test delivery — giving you maximum flexibility and reusability.
Create a Template
Define the test structure: number of sections, questions per section, time limits, marking scheme (positive/negative/partial), navigation rules (can skip, can go back, section switching), submission rules, and result display settings. This template is reusable — create it once, use it forever.
- ✓Multi-section support
- ✓Per-section time limits
- ✓Configurable marking scheme
- ✓Navigation & submission rules
- ✓Result display settings
- ✓Accessibility options
Generate Tests
From your template, generate test instances with actual questions. Choose your generation mode: select questions manually from your bank, use algorithmic generation with topic/difficulty distribution rules, or let AI generate adaptive assessments.
- ✓Manual question selection
- ✓Algorithmic generation
- ✓AI-assisted generation
- ✓Difficulty distribution control
- ✓Topic coverage rules
- ✓Question exclusion filters
Deliver & Analyze
Assign tests to students or batches with scheduling, attempt limits, and proctoring settings. Students take the test through an exam-styled player. Results flow into detailed analytics — score distribution, time analysis, topic-wise performance, and KC-level diagnostics.
- ✓Exam-styled test player
- ✓Online proctoring
- ✓Scheduling & deadlines
- ✓Detailed result analytics
- ✓KC-level diagnostics
- ✓Cross-test benchmarking

- ✓Auto-submission on time expiry with confirmation dialogs
- ✓Full-screen mode with tab-switch detection
- ✓Configurable backward navigation per section

Assessment Engine FAQ
How does the template-based test creation system work?
Acadmi's template system separates test structure from test content. You create a reusable template that defines the number of sections, questions per section, timing rules, marking scheme, navigation behavior, and result display settings. From this single template, you can generate unlimited test instances — each with different questions selected manually, algorithmically, or by AI. For example, one 'JEE Main Mock Test' template can produce hundreds of unique mock tests.
What exam formats can I replicate with the test player?
Acadmi's test player can replicate virtually any competitive exam format including JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET, CAT, GATE, UPSC Prelims, SSC, banking exams, and more. It supports multi-section tests with per-section timers, question palette with color-coded status, mark-for-review, configurable forward/backward navigation, section locking, mandatory section completion, and auto-submission on time expiry.
What types of questions are supported?
Acadmi supports multiple question types: Single Correct MCQ, Multi-Correct MCQ (with partial marking), Numerical/Integer type, True/False, Match the Following, and Assertion-Reasoning. Each question can have detailed explanations, difficulty tags, topic/subtopic tags, and knowledge component mappings.
How does algorithmic quiz generation work?
Algorithmic generation automatically selects questions from your question bank based on configurable rules: topic distribution, difficulty distribution (easy/medium/hard percentages), previously unseen questions, exclusion rules, and quality filters. You define the generation configuration separately from the template, so the same template can generate tests of different difficulty levels for different student batches.
What proctoring features are available?
Acadmi supports configurable proctoring per test assignment: full-screen enforcement, tab-switch detection and logging, webcam monitoring, screenshot capture at intervals, copy-paste prevention, right-click disabling, and suspicious behavior alerts. Proctoring is configured at the assignment level, so the same test can be assigned with proctoring for exams and without for practice.
Can I configure negative marking and partial marking?
Yes. Acadmi supports fully configurable marking schemes: positive marks for correct answers, negative marks (penalties) for incorrect answers, zero marks for unattempted questions, and partial marking for multi-correct questions. You can set default marking at the template level and override it per section — for example, +4/-1 for MCQs and +4/0 for numerical questions, exactly matching JEE Main's marking scheme.
